    New hope for treatment-resistant depression

Thanks to the support of our donors and a generous $420,000 contribution from Bell Let’s Talk, two clinics offering repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS) are now open in Nova Scotia, offering free care for patients living with treatment-resistant depression.

A word from Dr. Michael Flynn

rTMS gives hope to folks who haven't responded to traditional approaches or who haven't been able to tolerate them. This brings us into a more current position, and allows us to continue to move forward, and to remain at the leading-edge of new treatments as they continue to come on board.

For the 17,000 Nova Scotians facing treatment-resistant depression, access to these newly opened rTMS clinics offers hope for a brighter today and a future filled with new possibilities.
