Today, patients receiving cancer care in Nova Scotia have access to a new digital tool. They can track their symptoms, record their feelings and emotions, see their upcoming appointments, and find verified resources like articles and videos.

But this tool is capable of much more. That’s why donors are needed to help unlock new possibilities for how patients can use this tool for a real-time connection to their cancer care team.

Better communication between a patient and their care team can improve their quality of life, and in some cases, improve survival rates. The sooner a patient reports a symptom, the earlier their care team can catch and address issues.

Donors can help make cancer care more accessible for patients — creating a virtual connection with cancer care teams that will change care delivery for every patient diagnosed today and in the future.

Today there are 45,000 patients in Nova Scotia receiving some form of cancer care. As cancer rates continue to rise in Nova Scotia, patient engagement tools provide an innovative approach to meeting patient needs.
