The words “palliative care” are commonly mistaken as “giving up,” even though palliative care is about living. When brought in at the right time, palliative care improves quality of life, providing better symptom management and more good days. You are needed to ensure you, your loved ones, and community are met with compassion, dignity and informed decisions at every stage of care.

During his recent illness, Bob enrolled in the EHS Paramedics Providing Palliative Care at Home Program. Thanks to the kindness and expertise of the paramedics, Bob was able to follow his wishes and die at home.
