Bust a Move was an exercise experience that people put in their scrapbook of life, filled with moments of joy and connection, of intimacy and triumph. But more than the event-day experience, Bust a Move was about being better, together. The Breast Health Centre only exists today because participants and donors believed in possibility and joined the movement. Breast health supporters came together and raised 100% of the funds needed to build the Breast Health Centre in Halifax -- Nova Scotians literally created this facility with their love, sweat and tears.
Thanks to participants, volunteers, donors, sponsors and supporters, Bust a Move has lived up to its namesake. The fifth and final Bust a Move was an incredible celebration as the community came together to complete the breast health centre -- raising an incredible $1,043,115 (net).
Despite Bust a Move ending in Halifax, this event in other cities across Canada, and in Brisbane, Australia, will continue to support their own breast health initiatives in the future.
