Across Nova Scotia people are waiting too long for critical MRI scans. With approximately 28,000 people on the provincial waitlist, urgent action is needed. A solution is possible with the support of generous donors.

WHY DONORS ARE NEEDED.

We Are funding a Mobile MRI that will travel throughout the province to areas with the greatest need.

Patients need access to MRIs sooner. Some wait approximately 500 days for these critical tests, which delays diagnosis and treatment options.

Longer wait times can lead to poorer health outcomes, leading to more intense therapy, more invasive surgery or a shorter life expectancy.

From Cape Breton to Yarmouth, and communities in between, a Mobile MRI will create more access for patients, resulting in quicker diagnosis and treatment.

The QEII Health Sciences Centre is Nova Scotia’s hospital. That’s why the QEII Foundation is working with generous donors on this one provincial solution that will transform access to care.
