    Mobile MRI

Improving access to care for all Nova Scotians.

Across Nova Scotia people are waiting too long for critical MRI scans. With approximately 28,000 people on the provincial waitlist, urgent action is needed. A solution is possible with the support of generous donors.

Your gift today will bring a Mobile MRI to Nova Scotia in 2025. This provincial resource will increase access to care for patients and will only be possible with your support.

What donors will make possible.

Building new hospitals or adding more space to already busy health centres takes time. MRI access is a problem that needs to be fixed now for the patients depending on us.

Here are some of the key benefits when you support this project:

Increase daily capacity of available MRIs in Nova Scotia, meaning more patients are scanned each day.

Expand provincial access as the Mobile MRI travels between communities with the greatest needs or where access gaps exist.

Help patients access the most advanced MRI technology as the Mobile MRI is equipped with the latest scanners that offer greater accuracy.

Improve patient health outcomes as more patients will receive the scans they need sooner.

Launch a first in Canada approach to remote scanning that can be done from the QEII, creating more equitable care delivery.

Extend QEII expertise to more Nova Scotian communities, helping patients get specialized scans closer to home.
