RESEARCH AT THE QEII
TRIC grants are changing care for Atlantic Canadians.
Every day our community is affected by challenging health situations. This is one reason why Atlantic Canadians are fortunate to have exceptional medical researchers at the QEII Health Sciences Centre. But these research experts can't do it alone.
Through research funding, the QEII continues to attract and house the best and brightest medical professionals. This not only provides the comfort of knowing the health centre is at the pinnacle of medical research, it also ensures our families have the best care close by when they need it most.
Translating Research Into Care (TRIC) Grants.
In collaboration with research at the QEII, we have established the QEII Foundation Translating Research Into Care (TRIC) grants. These research grants are awarded to successful teams of researchers and administrators who work together to fuel direct and positive changes for health care, including better patient outcomes, reduced wait times and improved access to care.
Since the TRIC grant program was launched in early 2014, 14 QEII research projects have been funded. These projects are making a very real impact today; changing and saving lives, and bringing researchers even closer to finding tomorrow’s cures for today’s health care challenges.
