Area of Greatest Need

Make an undesignated gift to health care.

Gifts to the area of greatest need often have the greatest impact on patients and families at the QEII. Over the years, undesignated gifts have funded state-of-the-art facilities, ground breaking research and life-saving equipment.

One of the items on the QEII's list of required life-saving equipment is a high-resolution ultrasound.

Technology helps save lives every day at the QEII. Ultrasound provides the diagnosis that begins the care plan for patients. High-resolution ultrasounds are used to diagnose a wide range of conditions from gallstones and kidney stones to more serious conditions such as heart disease, and malignant or benign tumours. They are also used to monitor proper function of the liver and kidneys in transplant patients. The results from these tests allow physicians to interpret the images, diagnose the problem and formulate the most effective treatment plan. By making a gift to the area of greatest need you could help the QEII acquire this life-saving technology.

With your support, together we are strengthening and advancing health care to ensure we all receive the best care possible when we need it most.

Patients like Judy Coffin have gotten back to life's little moments thanks to the generosity of donors and the QEII Health Sciences Centre.
